The Salt Lake Susan G. Komen Affiliate and Zumba Fitness are joining together to Party in Pink and raise money for our own local affiliate! Let's get together and have some fun while getting a good workout in. You don't need to have prior Zumba experience (I know that I don't!) but it will be a fun time with the girls. This class does cost $10 but the proceeds will stay in Utah so it's a great cause. Hello fellow Young Survivors! As some of you may have heard (or hopefully viewed!) Melissa, Candace and I did a 3-minute interview last week on KUTV Channel 2 news to promote the Young Survivor Sisters. I mean, let's face it, we are a pretty awesome group even though none of us ever imagined that we would be members of it, haha. Anyway, I don't have a really "nice" copy of our interview, but I do have a copy of a copy that I've uploaded to YouTube so that I could share it with those members who haven't seen it. I also hope that if there are some women out there who aren't members of our group yet but are checking this blog that they see the video and want to come join us! As the interview stated, we are not your typical support group where we sit around in a circle and complain and cry (though both may happen on occasion out of frustration!) We really like to share tips and techniques, laugh as much as we can, and try to make the best out of the cards that we have been dealt at this point in our lives. So, for you ladies that are reading this and aren't members yet - sign up! You won't be disappointed and I think that you will find it very calming to see with your own eyes how many young women are going through or have gone through EXACTLY what you're going through now. :)
